What you can’t see but believe to be there

Golden Gate Bridge - July 2007

Isn’t it amazing how your mind can make up what isn’t there? I know the rest of the bridge is there, but I can’t see it. But I can see it. I’ve seen it before, so it must be there.

  1. I love this. It’s a nice conversation around the ideas of faith and wisdom. Faith being that you believe that the bridge is there without all of your senses being able to confirm it’s existence and Wisdom to know that that it is there regardless of anything else because of your experience with its presence.

Everyday, from moment to moment, we employ a balance between faith and wisdom.
