Seeing the Guthrie

I went to the new Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, MN last weekend. I love the perspectives. The angles, the subtle surprises and not so subtle lines. A nice relief from the hideous condo skyscraping monstrosities being built down the block and along ther edge of downtown—Grant Park ug! The sore across from the downtown post office— yikes. Condo blowout, loft frenzy. Minneapolis architecture is compartmentalizing like a cell phone. Give me yard! Air! Space! How old school. Take in our magical skyline while you can. It’s going away.
